This lip strap can be used on some types of curb bits and Pelham bits. The lip strap attaches between the shanks and passes through a center ring on the curb chain also to rings at midpoint of the bit shanks and buckles on the near side. It will helps keep a mouthy horse from mouthing or lipping the shank. Prevents the curb chain from fastening or otherwise moving too much.
